Kamal Prabhakar

The experience behind the relationships.

Kamal’s background spans more than 40 years in cricket as a player, coach and sports management professional. His experience across cricket and club life has shaped a personal understanding of the guidance, relationships and opportunities that matter to people in the game.

As founder of KP Smart Sports, he brings that experience to an independent consultancy connecting cricket, business and community interests.

Over 37 years at Ilford Cricket School.

Kamal has owned and run Ilford Cricket School for over 37 years. Through coaching, guidance and mentorship, he has helped aspiring cricketers develop their skills and confidence, alongside discipline, teamwork and respect for the game.

This longstanding involvement in grassroots cricket remains an important part of his story and his commitment to supporting the next generation.

A continuing commitment to young people.

Mentoring children and young adults remains a personal commitment. The Amit Prabhakar Cricket Academy carries forward the memory of his son, Amit, giving that longstanding support a more visible structure.

Disability cricket and international connection.

Kamal’s disability-cricket work includes his DCCI responsibilities and relationships with stakeholders in England and India. These responsibilities sit alongside his work with KPSS and are attributed to the relevant organisation.

His involvement around the visiting India team and the Lord’s programme reflects a commitment to the people behind the sport, as well as its wider recognition.
